Omega 1,10/06/2015, 10/19/17 14:15 - 10/19/17 15:45
Nanotechnology and advanced materials enable more efficient therapies and diagnostics for important diseases. However, the transition from the pre-clinical laboratory-scale proof-of-concept to the actual clinical application is the major innovation challenge. Innovative, efficient therapies and diagnostics require complete and efficient supply chains capable of delivering new products and services.
Nano-enabled healthcare and medicine is truly a multi-discliplinary field including nanotechnology, materials science, biomedical research, and involving clinicians, industrialists and regulatory specialists.
This session presents nano technologies, nanomaterials and corresponding instrumentation aimed to nanomedicine (diagnostics, therapy, theranostics, prophylaxis), nanotoxicity and related nanosafety/protection.
