Anna Lena Giesecke
Group Leader Nanophotonics, AMO
Anna Lena Giesecke is group leader of the nanophotonics group at AMO in Aachen. She obtained her diploma in physics from the Institute of Quantum Optics of Leibniz University in Hannover, Germany. Afterwards, she did her PhD research in Düsseldorf and at the Rutherford Appleton Laboratory in UK and received the PhD in laser and plasma physics from the Heinrich Heine University in Düsseldorf. She joined AMO GmbH in 2013. Her main research areas are laser sources in the infrared wavelength range, integrated silicon photonics and nanophotonics for optical communication technologies. She is involved in several FP7 research projects and national funded projects dealing with silicon photonics and graphene optoelectronics.
