Scientist, Institute for Energy and Environmental Technology (IUTA)
Bryan Hellack is working as scientist at the Institute for Energy and Environmental Technology (IUTA), Duisburg (Germany). After working for three years at the Leibniz Institute of Environmental Medicine, Duesseldorf he changed to the IUTA and finally received his PhD at the faculty of Biology at the University of Duisburg-Essen. Up to now he is working at the IUTA mainly on the field of particle generated reactive oxygen species using Electron Spin Resonance Spectroscopy as well as on (nano-)particle characterization, particle exposure and health, source apportionment of particles in the environment and assessment of ambient air quality. He is involved in several FP7 research projects and national funded
projects dealing with nanomaterial (NM) characterisation, NM fate and behaviour as well as effects on the environment and human health of NM.
