Vice President, Dow Corning Corporation
Eric is Vice President responsible for Emulsions, Blends, Powders and Foam Control Agents. He has full P&L and Balance Sheet responsibility for this business globally and is based in Europe.
Experience and Expertise
Eric joined Dow Corning in 1992, working as a chemical engineer at the company’s manufacturing site in Barry, UK. Over the course of his 23-year career at Dow Corning, he has served in a number of science and business leadership roles in the U.S. and Europe, including Procurement, Product Line Management, and Science & Technology. He headed the solar business since 2008, where he helped establish the company’s position as a global supplier and innovation partner in the solar industry. In 2012 Eric was named vice president of Dow Corning’s Electronics Solutions, the company’s fastest growing industry sector. Based at Dow Corning’s European headquarters in Seneffe, Belgium, he was responsible for the overall strategic direction and operations of electronics and LED lighting markets around the world. In January 2014 he took up his current responsibility.
Eric has a master’s degree in Chemical Engineering from the Catholic University of Leuven (KUL) in Belgium, and a Master in Technology Enterprise degree from the IMD in Lausanne, Switzerland.
Eric is the Chairman of EMIRI (Energy Materials Industrial Research Initiative), and Member of the Executive Committee of The American Chamber of Commerce to the EU (AMCHAM EU). He has also served on the Renewable Energy Industry Advisory Board to the IEA (International Energy Association).
