Dr. Heinz-Georg Nothofer studied chemistry at the Technische Universität München („Technical University of Munich“). He moved to the Max Planck Institute for Polymer Research in Mainz and joined a project on light-emitting polymers for display applications in collaboration with SONY. After finishing his PhD studies Mr. Nothofer worked for SONY´s Materials Science Laboratory (MSL) in Stuttgart where he continued his career for almost 7 years as a scientist in the area of nanoelectronics and sensors based on nanoparticles. Dr. Nothofer then moved to Norway to take a position as a lab manager in quality management for a company producing dispersed lime as an additive and coating material for the European paper industry. In 2010 he returned to Germany becoming a project coordinator in the area of nanotechnology, microsystems and optical technologies for the NMWP.NRW cluster.
