Project manager/researcher, SP Technical Research Institute of Sweden
Dr. Helena Bysell received her Ph D at Department of Pharmacy at Uppsala University in 2009, within the area of pharmaceutical physical chemistry focusing on microgels as drug delivery systems for peptide drugs. Since 2011, she is working as a project manager/researcher at SP Technical Research Institute of Sweden, focusing on applied research and innovation projects within colloid and surface chemistry for the Life Science industry.
Dr. Bysell has worked on numerous projects within formulation development for Pharmaceutical companies, including in situ-gelling systems for poorly soluble drugs as well as topical formulations of antimicrobial peptide. She has been involved in several National and European funded projects in the area of formulation science and is currently coordinating the large collaborative FP7-NMP project FORMAMP-Innovative nanoformulation of antimicrobial peptides. Her current research activities focus on lipid-based nanoformulations for antimicrobial peptides. She is responsible for the protein and peptide formulation focus area within the SP competence platform PERFORM and highly involved in networks within the Nanomedicine community. She has published numerous articles in journals and has held several invited and contributed presentations.
