R&D Concrete Group Manager, Technological Centre of ACCIONA Infrastructure
Jose Vera-Agullo is Chemical Engineer by the University of Alicante (Spain) and received is PhD in nanotechnology in 2008 working with the characterization of carbon nanofibers and their application in polymeric matrices. Since 2008 he has been working as researcher and project manager in the Materials Research Area at R&D Centre of ACCIONA Infrastructure, a Spanish civil engineering company. Now, he holds the position of head of Concrete Group giving consultancy services to site and developing cement and concrete technologies, some of them related with the development and use of nanomaterials. He has published more than 10 papers in international journals and he has contributed in more than 30 international congresses and seminars in the field of materials science. He holds two patents at national, European and world level related to the production of nanomaterials: carbon nanofibres and nanoclay supported TiO2 nanoparticles. He has experience in participating in national and European R&D funded projects, most of them related to cement and concrete materials.
