Marco Buscaglia is Associate Professor of Applied Physics at the Università degli Studi di Milano, Italy, Department of Medical Biotechnology and Translational Medicine. He received his PhD in Electronics and Computer Engineering in 2002 at the Università degli Studi di Pavia, Italy. From 2002 to 2004 he had a post-doc fellowship at the Laboratory of chemical Physics, NIDDK, National Institutes of Health (NIH), Bethesda, MD (USA). From 2005 to February 2015 he had a Researcher position (faculty member) at the University of Milano. His main research interests are focused on the experimental investigation of complex fluids, soft matter and biological systems by means of optical methods and on the development of novel bio-sensing technologies.
