Innovation Leader, Momentive Performance Materials GmbH
Thorsten Felder received his PhD in Chemistry from the University of Bonn (Prof. Dr. F. Vögtle/ Prof. Dr. C. A. Schalley, Germany) for his work on the synthesis and analytical characterization of supramolecular and macromolecular systems. In the year 2006 he joined the group of Prof. E. W. Meijer/ Prof. R. P. Sijbesma at the Technical University of Eindhoven (The Netherlands), where he carried out his postdoc studies on the self-assembling behavior of supramolecular polymers. Thereafter, he started in 2008 his industrial career at the A&M GmbH (Germany) as a project manager responsible for the development of high-throughput HPLC-MS/MS methods in the field of bioanalysis. In 2011 he joined the Momentive Performance Materials GmbH and currently holds the position of an Innovation Leader representing the company in national and EU funding projects. His research has resulted so far in the (co-)authorship of 15 peer-reviewed scientific papers and a series of pending patents.
