Vyacheslavs Kashcheyevs is research group leader and associate professor at University of Latvia.
He earned his Bachelor and Master degrees from University of Latvia and Ph.D. in theoretical condensed matter physics from Tel Aviv University in Israel (2007).
The group of Dr. Kashcheyevs is focusing on developing nanoelectronic elements with atomic and single-electron resolution for fundamental metrology and quantum information, in collaboration with experimental groups from leading research laboratories across Europe. Vyacheslavs Kashcheyevs has been honoured by the World Economic Forum as one of the forty outstanding young scientists of 2013 for his pioneering research on single-electron quantum pumps. Vyacheslavs Kashcheyevs serves as a special advisor to the Minister of Education and Science of Latvia for higher education and research.
